There is a growing challenge in providing quality water to communities and
serving the rapidly growing cities with efficient water supply, drainage
and wastewater systems. The demands to improve the environment and human
health conditions are also getting larger. One of the major challenges in
the 21st century is de-coupling economic growth from environmental
degradation.
Fresh water is a precious resource, maybe the most precious resource
we have. The provision of high quality water to our communities and
efficient drainage and wastewater systems for our cities is a challenge,
which escalates as our cities grow and good quality water becomes more and
more scarce. Urban flooding, combined or separate sewer overflows,
treatment processes and receiving water impact are high priority issues all
over the World.
An increase in the resource efficiency in the industrial production by a
factor of four is anticipated within the scientific community and the UN.
This corresponds to a doubling of the production using half the
present resource consumption within the coming 20-30 years.
We contribute to the industry by making the numerous and complex challenges
more simple. We are world leaders in urban drainage including flood risk
assessment and radar based rainfall forecasts.
Our integration of IT and consultancy to plan, operate and manage water
utilities is state of the art tools for cost and resource effective
operation and it gives at the same time management the necessary overview.
